Even Though We Are Miles Apart... You Will Always Have A Special Place In My Heart.

Hello all my crafty friends, I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. Today I have an elegant vintage 3D paper train card I made to share with you. I love the idea of 3D paper crafts but when it's all said and done what is one to do with a bunch of 3D paper projects. So, I put a lot of thought in to this and decided to make it a card. The tops of the train are actually lids so you could put a special gift or sweet treats in the train cars and the base of each train car are thin boxes that could be used to put money in or even secret notes.

To create this beautiful train I started with the My Treasured Kutz 3D Train digital SVG cut file designed by the very talented Petra Bachmann. To cut this file I used my Cricut Explore, my favorite crafting tool.

**Before I get any further into what else I used to create the elegant beauty I have a special give away to share with you**

~My Treasured Kutz is doing a Comment To Win It Contest tomorrow (Wednesday, June 10, 2015) on their Facebook page. Their going to pick someone at random to win this awesome 3D Train SVG file. So don't forget to head over to their page https://www.facebook.com/MyTreasuredKutzDie and leave a comment, like and share. The contest lasts until Friday night (June 12, 2015). MTK is going to pick one random winner but if the post gets 50 comments they are going to pick 2 winners and then every 50 more comments they're going to pick another winner.~

Now on to what else I used to make this beautiful vintage 3D train card.

I cut all my pieces using DCWV textured paper and then folded them along all the score lines. After that inked all the edges and along each score line using brown Rubber Stampede ink and a disposable lip applicator. Once finished with the inking I used Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive and a paint brush to assemble the train.

Finally, I finished up by adding all my embellishments to give this 3D Train Card an elegant vintage look.

~The word LOVE on the train locomotive is actually Mini Scrabble Letter Stickers by Jolee's Boutique.

~The pearls I used were Pearl Borders Stickers by Jolee's Boutique.

~The lace is Offray Trim I picked up from Walmart and the gold trim came out of a trim multi-pack I picked up from the dollar spot at Michaels

I thought this sentiment was perfect for the train and is what I used to turn the train into a card.

~The flower trim on the train caboose is a sticker from the EK Success line Nostalgiques By Rebecca Sower called Floral Delight.

Thank you for stopping by today and I really hope you liked my project, I really enjoyed creating this one.

Have a Blessed Week!
