My Wish For You

Today I have this simple but pretty card to share with you.

Let's start with the beautiful leaf flourish. It's the weekly freebie this week from My Treasured Kutz called Leafy Flourish. I cut it out with my Cricut Explore using Recollections cardstock. After all the pieces where cut I inked all the edges using Rubber Stampede dye-based ink and a disposable lip applicator. I also used the applicator and ink to add a line to the center of the leaves to give them a realistic look. I then used a stylus tool and a foam mat to give all my leaves shape. I glued the flourish and leaves to the card using Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive.

The card base was cut with my Cricut as well, using DCWV textured cardstock.

The brick wall background was created using DCWV brick wall pattern paper which I embossed used my Sizzix Big Shot and a Darice EmbossingEssentials folder called  Brick Wall. After the paper was cut and embossed I brushed my ink pad over the embossed parts and edges to add a little texture.

For a final touch I added some metal embellishments to the card, the fancy corner metal embellishment and the metal sentiment that says "my wish for you..."

Thinking Of You Garden Card

Good morning my wonderful crafty friends. Did you know that My Treasured Kutz is doing weekly freebies? Every week starting on Thursdays they will be giving away an SVG file for FREE. How awesome is that? I would think just about everyone loves free stuff, I know I do. So don't miss out, hop over to mytreasuredkutz.com every Thursday and check out their new freebie. Don't fret if you ever miss out on a freebie; if it's something you really like, you'll still be able to purchase it in the store.

Okey, enough about that... Now onto my card.

If you couldn't guess I created this beautiful card using My Treasured Kutz weekly freebie. This weeks freebie is called Thinking Of You Background Card. It's an SVG file that comes with the "Thinking Of You" card background, the fence, the sun and two background mats.

The other images on the card were all created with My Treasured Kutz metal dies. I have got to say, My Treasured Kutz has become one of my favorite metal die companies and the SVG files that they're coming out with just keep getting better and better. I can't wait to see what more is to come in the future.

Here's a list of what dies I used:

The freebie was cut on my Cricut Explore using DCWV paper. I inked the edges of everything except for the fence and the purple part of the Bearded Iris which I chalked. The ink I used is Rubber Stampede Acid-Free Die-Based ink and I used a disposable lip applicator to apply it. For the chalk I'm not sure who makes it, it is something that I bought at a yard sale years ago. I applied the chalk using a disposable lip applicator and chalk pompoms.

*When I chalk using the the disposable lip applicators I brush it along all the edges and inside all the small places, blowing off the extra dust as I go along. I then use the chalk pompoms to spread the chalk out on my die cuts. That's how I get the chalked look like the fence has.

I used my Xyron Sticker maker and my Elmer's Tape Runner to adhere everything to my card.

I finished up my "Thinking Of You" card by adding a touch of white by using A Sakura Gelly Roll pen.

You're Deer To Me

Hello my crafty friends :-) I love how the card I'm sharing with you today turned out, Especially the tree.

To start with I used my Cricut Explore to cut the card which is an svg file from My Treasured Kutz called Flourish "C" Background Card w/ Mat.

Now, the tree is my favorite, I used a metal dies from MTK, bear tree and Four Seasons. I inked everything; every single little piece, lol. I then used a stylus and foam mat to shape all the pieces to give it a more realistic look. I attached all the pieces (and attached it to the card) using Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive.

I cut the grass using MTK Petite Grass Border, then chalked it to give it some depth. The High and Mighty Clouds is a MTK die as well, which I attached using foam tap to make them pop off the card.
The adorable deer stamp is a Craftin Desert Diva's stamp from the Deer Friends stamp set. After I stamped him, I hand cut him out. To color the deer I used chalk and followed it up with a little white gel pen to give him a little more detail. Now, I don't know how noticeable it is but there's this dot on his head that I have no clue where it came from. I didn't see it until after the card was put together so I was too late to redo him with out ruining the hard.

The tag was actually create using the mat from the card file, I just shrunk two pieces way down in size and layered them using foam tape. The cute sentiment stamp "You're deer to me" came from the CDD Deer Friends stamp set as well.

To attach everything else I used my Xyron Sticker Maker and Elmer's Tape Runner.

I hope you all like my card.

Thank You For Stopping By :-)

Melvin The Monster Birthday Card

Just stopping in to share my Melvin the monster birthday card. The past week has been crazy busy week for me and I have a couple of busy days ahead, so I'm going to keep this post a little short.

I do have to say I think Melvin is such a cute monster. Melvin Spellman in a metal die from My Treasured Kutz. If you like Melvin Spellman Monster or a fan of cute little monsters you should also take a look at Ethan Spunkmeyer and Abnor Armstrong.

The rest of the card was cut using my Cricut Explore. I got the presents, birthday hat and banner from the Design Space image gallery.

The Happy Birthday stamp is from the Craftin Desert Diva's stamps set, Simply Said. If your a fan of stamps you should check them out, they have some of the cutest stamps and more on the way.

Sorry everyone for the short post but if anyone has further questions on how I did something or what I used please feel free to ask. You can ask down in the comments or you can message me on Facebook, Creative Crafting Designs.

Thank You For Stopping By.
